In addition to offering the best of Yolo County-grown food to businesses, we offer shipping, conditioned storage, truck rental and packaging services, transportation and storage services to our farm partners.

History

Capay Valley Farm Shop was established in 2007 to better connect farmers and ranchers to regional communities. A group of farmers and community members in the Capay Valley shared a common goal of keeping the valley in agricultural food production for future generations. As a way to ensure economic viability for existing and future farmers and ranchers, the concept of collaborative marketing, sales, and distribution of source-identified products spawned a food hub—Capay Valley Farm Shop.

We are a for-profit social enterprise grounded in our relationship with our community’s farmers.

We are driven by transparency, quality products, and personalized customer service.

Place

The beautiful Capay Valley, part of the Cache Creek Watershed, is nestled along the Coast Range in Yolo County between Sacramento and the Bay Area. Above all the valley is known for its productive family farms with complex soils and warm summers — the land has been agriculturally vital for over a century.

Generations of experience nurturing Capay Valley’s fertile fields enable our farmers to grow the best tasting and the widest variety of locally available fruits and vegetables.
