I have made this for potlucks and at home.  It is fast and delicious!

Ingredients

  • Heirloom tomatoes
  • Fresh Basil
  • Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • Salt

Preparation

Slice the tomatoes as desired for the salad.  Roughly chop basil leaves.  Put tomatoes and basil in a serving bowl, add salt and drizzle with olive oil.  Toss ingredients together and taste.  If you are unsure of how much basil you will want, start with less and add more as desired.  I usually wind up using more than I think I will.
