Steamed Romano Beans with Garlic
Ingredients
3/4 lbs Romano Beans
4 cloves Garlic
Olive Oil
Salt
Preparation
Place whole romano beans in small pot with whole peeled garlic and generous drizzle of olive oil. Add water to about 1/2 inch and put on low heat so that water steams but does not boil. Check every 10 minutes or so adding water as needed. Cook for an hour or more until beans are creamy and garlic breaks down. Drain excess water, taste for salt and serve.
