Celery Root 5 Easy Ways
Celery root is a delicious addition to many dishes and adds a light, fresh flavor similar to celery. It can be enjoyed raw or cooked– when cooked it resembles potatoes in texture. Here are some ideas to help incorporate celery root (sometimes called celeriac) into your routine dishes.
1) Grate celery root or slice it thinly and add to a green salad .
2) Cut the celery root into thin sticks with fennel, apple and parmesan and dress with oil and vinegar.
3) Cut into 1/2″ cubes and add to a vegetable soup (try with potato leek soup)
4) Add to a meat roast or stew.
5 ) Quarter the root, slice thinly and add to a saute of garlic and greens.
