Using Integrated Pest Management, or IPM, Manas tends their orchards without the use of synthetic herbicides and insecticides, but sprays when needed to control disease such as brown rot.  Motroni Ranch uses small amounts of conventional fertilizer on a portion of their fig crop.  No pesticides or sprays are used.
